The A55 adjuster assembly includes the brass pieces shown in thew lower photo which is used in the wooden wedge lever cap.  The Adjuster is held in the bed of a wooden plane using a 19mm/10mm stepped hole and a small screw.  The sizes is optimised for a blade 100mm long which is suitable for a plane body of between 38mm - 50mm high.
