HNT Gordon - Block Plane Hand Grip

For two handed use of this plane where I am squaring an edge or planing end grain I would hold the plane like this.
For one handed use of this plane I hold it like this. This is the best way when you are putting an aris on the edge of a piece of wood.
This plane is also quite comfortable to pull towards you for certain tasks. I would hold the plane one handed like this, freeing up my other hand to hold the wood you are planing.
Please Note: The pictures are only recommended ways of holding this style of plane. You may have your own way of doing it which is just as good. The way that gives you the best results is the best way.
