All planes are made from one piece of African Blackwood so they match perfectly in colour and the wood has a very subtle tight fiddleback throughout. (Not really visible in the photos). Also a little bit of sapwood has been left on the top of the planes which gives a very nice contrast and makes them a very unique set of planes indeed. This set has been sold. More African Blackwood planes are available but it is unlikely to supply a complete set of 9 planes.
