BLADE : Blade size (useful part) is 12"x 2 1/2" and is 0.020" thick. It is made of high quality spring steel hardened to RC52.
TOOTH CONFIGURATION:
The blade is filed rip with 13 tpi, and the kerf width is 0.025",
AVERAGE WEIGHT:  500 Grams
HANDLE: Superbly shaped for comfort and ergonomics, making this saw a pleasure to use. Made from Bubinga (African Rosewood) which is a red-brown color and is very strong. 
OTHER FEATURES: Sturdy brass back with milled groove for the blade.
SHARPENING:
Due to the hardness of the steel and the superb way these saws are sharpened at ADRIA it will take a lot of use to blunten this saw. However at some stage the saw will need to be sharpened and we recommend sending it  to a reputable saw sharpening service if you are not familiar with doing it yourself.  If doing it yourself use a 5" double extra slim taper file to file the teeth on the saw.  Contact HNT Gordon if you are having any difficulty in this regard. PURPOSE: This tenon rip saw is designed to accurately make cuts with the grain. It can be used for all kinds of joinery tasks, but most likely for cutting down through the grain to form the tongue of a tenon joint.
